Welcome to the Fine Arts and Foundation Studies Lab

Welcome to the Fine Arts and Foundation Studies Computer Lab. This lab was created specifically for the Fine Arts departments at RISD, and for Freshmen who have no departmental lab.

General Lab Rules

• Quiet and respectable behavior. Always.
• No eating, drinking, or smoking.
• Use headphones for all music and sound editing.
• Clean up after yourself.
• No manual feeding into the printers!
• Disk space is limited. Save everything to a zip/jaz disk, CD, or floppy. Data saved in Temporary Work is erased frequently.
• All extensive rendering must be done between the hours of 11pm and before the first class in the morning.
• If the demand for lab use is high, then students are limited to 4 hour intervals on machines. Students doing school work take precedence over emailers.
